We prepare our children for school and their future, by providing healthy foods, exercise and play opportunities, well child doctor visits, as well as including reading from a young age. Preparing for emergencies is another way we can prepare them for the future.
Are you and your family prepared for emergencies or disasters, such as earthquakes, floods, fires, or other emergencies? Fire season has already started to show its presence. Do you have a plan for emergencies? The school district has plans for dealing with emergencies. Drills are a routine part of preparing for emergency situations. Have you had a fire drill or earthquake drill at home lately?
Check out the Parent and Student resource areas on the Grants Pass School District #7 web site. You will find links to some great resources for emergency preparedness for families, such as Ready.gov.
