
Grants Pass High School celebrated our 2015 Awards Night on May 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the Performing Art Center. The Josephine County Educational Fund sponsored the scholarship program. There were 487 scholarship awards presented by 61 community members, to 181 senior students. We had 3 students, Ben Dean, Bryanna Moore and Christian Roach that were awarded the Ford Scholars Scholarships which pays for 90% of all unmet need for 4 years. If these students maintain a 3.5 GPA for four years, Ford will pay for their Master’s Degree.
GPHS has one student who will attend the West Point Academy, Connor McGlothlin who will receive $500,000 education. Three students joining the Army, earning $59,000 for their education. Two students joining the Navy earning $108,000. Several of our students have done very well this year. Sierra Sparrow was awarded $10,900, 1 earned $7,000, 1 $6,000, 1 $5,000, 3 @ $4,000+, 3 @ $3,000+, 7 @ $2,000+, 15 @ $1,000+. The total dollars awarded was $2,522,340.00. Grants Pass High School is proud of these students who went the extra mile and applied to help pay for their future education.
