The GPHS Athletic Booster Club is sponsoring the 2nd annual Freedom Run. Since last year was such a success the Booster Club is making it an annual event. The run will take place Saturday, May 23rd at 9:30 am. We have added a 5 mile to the event this year. The “Grants Pass 5K & 5 Mile Freedom Run/Walk” will kick-off the Memorial Day Parade as the participants run down 6th Street and end in Reinhart Volunteer Park. The purpose of the 5K & 5 Mile Run/Walk is to raise funds to help support all athletic clubs at GPHS. The fee for the 5K Run is $25.00, youth 18 and under is $17.00. Fees for the 5 mile race are $30.00 and those 18 an under are $22.00. We have reduced the price for Youth 10 and under to $10/$15 if you do not want a T-shirt. If you register prior to May 14, 2015 you will receive a race t-shirt. The Booster Club has created its own website so that you can register at www.gpfreedomrun.com or you can register online at www.GetMeRegistered.com/GP5KFR (look for “Search for Events” & put in race name). You may also register in person or mail your entry to Competitive Athletics, 105 NE 7th St., Grants Pass, OR 97526. Online registration is open thru May 21st. In-person registration at Competitive Athletics is open until May 22nd at 5:30 pm. Entry forms can be picked up at the GPHS office.
