Join us at the 4^th annual Blue Note Jazz Fest this weekend - Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25.  The Jazz Fest has expanded into a two-day event, offering a variety of great music – jazz with a twist of funk and soul.  Friday night doors open at 5:30 pm, concert begins at 7:00 pm.  Saturday matinee doors open at 1:00 pm, concert begins at 2:00 pm.

Friday night’s artists include Mic Gillette, a Yamaha artist (founding member of Tower of Power), The University of Oregon Green Garter Band and the GPHS Jazz Bands.   There will be a silent auction starting at 5:30 pm, with the concert beginning at 7:00 pm.  Dessert and beverages will be available for purchase.

On Saturday afternoon, Mic Gillette will return, along with two world-class performers – Raul Renko (percussionist who has worked with Santana, Aretha Franklin and more) and world-class saxophonist George Brooks.  They will be joining our local favorite band, Funktional Fusion, and the GPHS Jazz Bands.  Dessert and beverages will be available for purchase.

This event is sponsored by the Grants Pass High School Band Boosters, and is a major fundraiser for the band program.
