Another congratulations to the GP Winterguard team taking first place at their Skyview Competition on Saturday, March 7th.  The team competed against four other teams in their division, the largest division this year, with a total of nine guards that competed that day.  The team swept every category which includes movement, equipment, design and two categories in general effect. 

The team will have a local performance on Thursday, April 2nd at South Middle School at 7pm along with the Middle School Winterguard team.  All family, friends and community members are cordially invited to attend.  Feel free to come and help give a positive "send off" as the team will be traveling to Salem Saturday, April 4th for Championships .  The team will be competing against 16 other teams from throughout the Northwest at Championships which is the final competition of the season. 

If you are interested in participating in Guard, auditions for the High School Fall Season will be Tuesday, April 21st, Wednesday, April 22nd and Thursday, April 23rd from 6pm-9pm in the GPHS Main Gym.  No experience is necessary! Auditions are open to all students who will be in 9th-12th grade at GPHS for the 2015-2016 school year.  North Middle School and South Middle School students are also invited to participate in Guard for the Boatnik Parade with their school's band.  Listen for additional information in the announcements or contact Jeni Brouillette at jbrouillette@grantspass.k12.or.us or 541-474-5750 ext. 106.
