The Grants Pass High School Marching Band finished its 2014 season on November 1st at Hillsboro Stadium where they took 5th place in at the NWAPA Championships. Prelim competition started early that morning with 26 bands, 15 of those bands were moved to finals later that afternoon. GPHS took 5th place in prelims and 5th place in finals later that evening.
The directors want to thank all of the seniors for their four years of marching band, all of the parents for their hard work as well as the booster parents who keep the band moving, and Mr. Jason Garcia and Mr. Bill Boldon for training our fine students in the middle schools here in Grants Pass. A lot of time and organization goes into the marching band at GPHS and it wouldn’t be possible without the tremendous support from our whole community. This year’s drum majors are Shyla Sparrow, Jaelin Martin and Dana Fish and directors include Mr. Joel Naegele, Mr. JJ Sutton, Mr. Evan Daggett and Mrs. Jennifer Brouillette.
