Caveman Track and Field took to Hayward Field in Eugene, OR last weekend and came home with some Hardware. Of note, Drake Brennan set a new school record and won State for the 2nd year in a row with a throw in the Discus of over 185 feet. Not to be outdone, Dustin Harrah won State with a High Jump clearance of 6’7”. The Team picked up valuable points to grab the 3rd spot from Larry Cotton in the High Jump, Zac Hannan in both Hurdles and Joey Malloy in the Pole Vault. The 3rd Place Finish was the best by the Caveman since 1962.  On the girls side, Krissi Clark capped off an awesome Career by taking 2nd in the Javelin and placing in the Shot Put and Discus. Krissi earned her team 17 points which is an amazing accomplishment. Skylie Brummett missed the school record in the Triple Jump by 2 inches, but set a lifetime PR in front of the packed house of a jump of 35 feet and change. The Girl’s team efforts was good for 11th place overall in the States toughest Division.
