The recent TELL Oregon Public Schools Survey reflected responses from over 19,000 Oregon public school teachers and administrators with 786 schools (62%) meeting or exceeding the minimum response rate threshold. Using individual schools as the unit of analysis, the survey consists of a core set of questions that addresses the following teaching conditions: New Teacher Support, Instructional Practices & Support, Managing Student Conduct, School Leadership, Teacher Leadership, Community Engagement & Support, Use of Time, Professional Development and Facilities & Resources.” Nearly 70% of Grants Pass School District  teachers and administrators completed the survey, well above the state average of 59%. Grants Pass School District Summary Results

As you can see from the summary table below, our District exceeded the state average in all categories. Furthermore,  in the Use of Time, Facilities & Resources and Managing Student Conduct categories, we exceeded the statewide favorable rating average by double digit percentages.  These results are a testament to the quality of our entire staff and the support of our Board and Community. The survey does show that Use of Time (including class size) and Professional Development are the biggest challenge areas for all Oregon public schools (including our District).
