Students begin the countdown for Spring Break the day they return to school from Christmas Break. Thats 54 school days that students struggle through until they get to go on their long desired vacations.

Freshman Paul Strandquist, cruised down to sunny town of Valencia, Cali., to ride the rollercoasters of Six Flags Magic Mountain.

"I was really sad when I came back to GP… It was really cold and raining." said Strandquist.

Sophomore Jada Queener also spent her Spring Break in California. She spent her days in San Francisco, Santa Cruz, and also went to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo.

"The trip was going really great till I had a small panic attack seeing the big rides for the first time, but then after riding them I was golden!" said Queener.

Students weren’t the only ones looking forward to their Spring Break vacations. Jodi Hood spent a week of her break on a cruise from Long Beach, Cali, to Porto Bay and Cabo, Mexico.

"My favorite part of the trip was when we stayed in Cabo and hung out on the beach," Hood remarked with her glowing tan.

Not everyone was as fortunate as others to go out on a big vacation, some stayed home in little Grants Pass and enjoyed time with their families. Dean of Students, Stacy Morgan watched the favorite movie of the month, Frozen.

"Everytime I hear that song now it makes me go crazy!" says Morgan referring to the song "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?"

Whether you stayed at home or went on a nice vacation we can all agree the break was well deserved and well appreciated. We’ve all had a taste of what life without school will be like for a while and can’t wait for the three month break we call summer! Don’t worry only 9 weeks left!
