The GPHS Chamber Orchestra received all I’s and I+’s at their League Festival in Ashland before spring break. They automatically qualified to perform on Thursday, May 15th at the OSAA State Orchestra competition, a goal they have achieved every year since the first state contest. The Concert Orchestra and Symphony received qualifying scores at the festival, and the middle school Honor Orchestra received superior marks the following day at their middle school festival. Congratulations to these hard-working young musicians!
You’ll have a chance to hear these groups at their upcoming end-of-the season concerts: Honor Orchestra’s final Promenade Concert is on Tuesday, April 22 at 7:00pm in the GPHS Performing Arts Center; GPHS Orchestras perform their spring concert on Tuesday, May 13th at 7:00pm. Both are free admission.
